Chorus Reflection

When I first started in chorus I thought it would just be it would be an opportunity to sing. However as time when on we sang different times of songs and I began to realize how fun it was. Some of my favorite songs were “Roses” and “I Love”. I also realized singing was not just for individuals but when you bring a group of voices together the sound can be both deep and beautiful.

Also I noticed when singing that many of my other worries from my day disappeared. I would forget the homework I had or even that I was hungry. As well, sometimes in the middle of a song I would find my toes tapping, my hands moving in rhythm and my heart light. Consequently at the end of the class I realized that chorus is so much more than singing a song.It also brings to those listening the story and the sounds of many emotions.

Chorus Reflection- Quarter 2

Personally, I feel like I have improved my facial expressions and also my breathing. I also think that the choir has improved because we have been together longer so we know how our voices sound. Since there was hockey marathon on friday some of the captains voices were sore from yelling. The piece I liked the most was cradle hymn. I liked cradle hymn becuase it sounded beautiful and also we had amazing dynamics and overall it was great. I plan to improve going forwards by woring on my facial expressions. My goals as a singer is to expand my vocal range. Our goals should be to be more in sync and to also have better dynamics and stage presence.

Swimming Blog Post

My expectations for the Swimming Unit were that it would be fun. 

I learned how to do each stroke faster by being aware of how many strokes per lap I was doing. I feel like I most improved in backstroke. The new techniques that I learned are to pointe your toes while kicking in any stroke. This helped me kick faster for backstroke and freestyle. My distances in the water improved, they improved because I was cautious with the amount of them so I tried to have less. I think my swimming ability stayed to same and my confidence in the water is the same. I learned that water polo is very tiring but I liked playing it.

Fall Concert Reflection

Overall, I think this concert was a success. Everyone sounded like they were one.
I think that the elementary school was very cute and sounded in unison when they needed to be. I think that we had a lot of dynamics and harmonies. I also think that we need more energy and facial expressions. The High Schoolers had a really nice opener when we were exiting the stage. Also even though there is not a lot of people they sound really good together. I also like how they would step away from the mic when they swapped their solos.

I think that the Middle School Chorus sounded very in unison. I am very proud of how I sounded in my solo in "Roses I Sent To You" and as a whole in general. I feel like we needed to work more on our swapping of solos because people either went to the wrong mic, forgot to go up, or the mic was off.  For example in one of songs called "Amani" we had a lot of small groups and there was a lot of traffic walking up and down the risers. For the next concert I think we need to work on our facial expressions and our emotions. We can do this by overexagerating our faical expressions so the audience can see them.

Hola, Me llamo Hanna Zelcer. Yo tengo doce años y yo estoy en grado ocho. Yo tengo el pelo rizado de color café y  los ojos castaños. Yo soy bastante baja. Yo soy de New Jersey EEUU. Yo tengo una hermana que se llama Alexandra.  Yo  hablo un poco de español, inglés, polaco y ruso. Yo tengo seis amigas mejores: Carolyn, Jessica, Shelly, Jordy y Isabella. Mi color favorito es verde neón. Yo voy a la escuela WBAIS en Israel.

Yo tengo tres  personas en mi familia: mi madre, Julie, mi padre Leon, y mi hermana Alexandra.  Mi padre es ingeniero.  Alexandra esta en doce grado. Alexandra tengo pelo y ojos castaños. Alexandra es muy alta.

En mi tiempo libre me encanta hablar con mis amigos, mirar los programas de television:  Teen Wolf/ Pretty Little Liars, comer y hacer gimnasia.  Mis programas favoritos son Teen Wolf y Pretty Little Liars.

Mi música favorita es Ariana Grande, Big Sean, Troye Sivan, Melanie Martinez, y Lana Del Rey.

Mis metas para la clase de español son estudiar español y mantener un conversation.

My First Quarter Math Project

This is my math project that I did. What I did is that I took the word chartreuse and then took each letter in the word and made another word. I chose the words : circumference, hypotenuse, analysis, ratio,triangle, rational number, exponent, unit, surface area and equation.
